Leanne C. Miller was born in Phoenix Arizona. She went on to attend San Francisco Art Institute, the premier Fine Art college on the West Coast, founded in 1871. Leanne graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. Since then she has been making and showing her work around San Francisco and New York, and is represented by Freshsurfaceart.com, based in New York.
During her time at SFAI she volunteered and interned at such independent art organizations as Southern Exposure Gallery and Ar+space.
Leanne also taught through the “Mission Voices” program at Southern Exposure and developed curriculum for their summer arts program. She also co-taught art at the Arts Far West high school in Oakland, California and through “Root Division”, based in the Mission district of San Francisco.
Currently, Leanne is working on a 90-foot long mural located on Market Street @ 6th (the long wall located next to Pearls Art Supply Store in Downtown SF).
